Children Deputy Manager-Respite Service-Nottingham-£40K Location: Nottingham Salary: £40,000 per annum Contract: Monday- Friday- 37.5 hours a week Are you ready to take the next step in your career in children’s residential care? We are looking for a committed and experienced Deputy Manager to support the running of a small, 1-bed respite home for children and young people with additional or complex needs in Nottingham. About the Role: As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to provide safe, nurturing, and high-quality short-term care. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop leadership skills in a supportive, person-centred environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the day-to-day management of the home and ensure compliance with Ofsted and safeguarding standards Supervise and mentor care staff, promoting high standards of professional practice Contribute to care planning and ensure children’s emotional and physical needs are met Maintain a child-focused approach and positive relationships with families and external agencies Take part in on-call duties and support the Registered Manager with audits, reports, and quality assurance Skills & Experience Required: At least 2 years’ experience in a residential children’s care setting Previous experience in a senior or team leader role Working towards or hold a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards) Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted standards, and children’s rights Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills A compassionate, calm, and resilient approach to care What We Offer: Competitive salary of £40,000 Opportunity to grow into a Registered Manager role Supportive management and training for continued development A chance to make a real difference in a small, impactful service For more information, call Lindsay on (phone number removed) or email your CV to (url removed)
