These roles will be working a temporary contract Monday to Friday between 7am and 3pm and 8am and 4pm full time hours. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES HAVING TO UNDERGO POLICE VETTING YOU MUST HAVE RESIDED WITHIN THE UK CONTINUOUSLY FOR AT LEAST 3 YEARS AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES To perform general portering duties, including moving furniture; receiving stores deliveries and distribution of store items; despatch and receipt of laundry, collection and disposal of refuse; and shredding of confidential waste (where appropriate). Where applicable the operation of waste and refuse compactor. To perform general cleaning duties to include: Grounds and car park areas as appropriate. Carpet shampooing. Wall cleaning. Stripping and sealing floor surfaces, using spray burnishing and other automatic equipment. Blinds and light fittings. Replenishing roller towels, soap, toilet rolls and other toiletries. Kitchen extraction units. High level cleaning. In wintertime undertake gritting of car parks and paths. Setting up and breaking down of rooms for seminars etc. Removal of litter and curtilage.
