This is an exciting opportunity for a 4‑5 session salaried GP (ARRS) to join our dynamic forward‑thinking team at Godolphin Health. The practice operates across two sites – Praze an Beeble and Connor Downs – conveniently located within a 10‑minute drive off the A30 and close to the beautiful Cornish coastline.
About Us
We are a training practice looking after a list of 9,032 patients over two sites, dispensing to 65% of them. The three partners are supported by a multidisciplinary team comprising 5 salaried GPs, 1 advanced nurse practitioner, 2 practice nurses, 2 HCAs and a phlebotomist, plus GP trainees. Through our Primary Care Network we share mental health practitioners, a first‑contact physiotherapist, a care‑home paramedic, a pharmacist and three pharmacy technicians. We are a friendly and supportive team that values continuous improvement.
Pay & Contract
Salary: £12,420.55 a year per session annually

Job Description
This position requires the post‑holder to manage a caseload and address a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care. The caseload is proportionate to the number of sessions worked. Core duties include up to 13 appointments per routine session, duty team duties, telephone consultations, home visits, repeat prescriptions, and timely documentation.
Clinical Responsibilities
* Make professional, autonomous decisions on presenting problems, whether self‑referral or referred.
* Ensure timely review of all workflow within the practice systems, including documents, pathology, medicines management, and emails.
* Assess health needs of patients with undifferentiated problems.
* Screen patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Develop care plans in consultation with patients, following current practice protocols.
* Provide counselling and health education.
* Refer patients to other care providers as appropriate.
* Record clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collect data for audit purposes.
* Compile and issue computer‑generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Prescribe according to the practice formulary or generically when clinically appropriate.
* Provide patients with medical records as required by law.
* Engage in all normal GP duties and responsibilities within primary care.

* Share fair workload of surgeries outside core GMS hours under enhanced service schemes.
* Attend scheduled practice clinical meetings.
* Comply with all relevant practice policies and guidelines (prescribing, confidentiality, data protection, health & safety, safeguarding).

* Contribute to evaluation, audit, and clinical standard setting.
* Maintain data quality in computer‑based patient records.
* Summarise patient records and read‑code patient data.
* Attend or undertake training and events organised by the practice or other agencies.

Lead and implement health & safety and infection control policies as defined in the practice manuals and procedures.

Maintain professional development requirements for PREP and participate in practice training programmes.

Recognise the importance of effective communication within the team and communicate effectively with others.
Qualifications
* Essential: Fully qualified GP with GMC registration; on Medical Performers List; annual appraisal and revalidation; General practice (Vocational Training Scheme) trained; Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check; UK driving licence; UK work permit (if required); current Level 3 safeguarding certificate (adult and children).
* Desirable: Evidence of continued professional development; MRCGP; Experience of teaching undergraduate students; Palliative care; Women’s health issues (e.g., contraception implants).
Experience
* Essential: Chronic disease management; primary prevention & screening services; clinical governance; delivery of QoF targets; self‑audit and reflection; organised record keeping; time management; computer literacy; car owner.
* Desirable: Experience of working in primary care; experience of working in a GP practice; experience of using KLINIK and EMIS software.
Aptitude and Abilities
* Essential: Willingness to collaborate across the primary health team; ability to work flexibly and autonomously; recognise limitations and act appropriately; willingness to learn and problem‑solve; strict confidentiality; team player.
