Job Description Nestled on the edge of Lennoxtown, Finniescroft Farm is a warm, welcoming home for children and young people up to the age of 21. We’re on the lookout for a dedicated Lead Practitioner to join our Children & Families Services team. In this vital role, you’ll become a Key Worker to children and young people, championing their needs, dreams, and dignity every single day.
What you’ll do:
* Be a steady presence and trusted advocate, ensuring each child’s voice is heard not just listened to.
* Take the lead in planning and delivering care that nurtures wellbeing and helps children thrive emotionally, socially and educationally.
* Build strong, positive relationships with the children you support the kind that help them feel safe, valued and understood.
* Work closely with families, schools and other agencies to get it right for every child.
* Write and carry out individual care plans making sure each child’s unique needs are at the heart of everything we do.
* Guide and support your team, share what you know, and occasionally step up to cover for the Team Leader when needed.
What you’ll need:
* To be registered (or eligible to register) with the SSSC, with qualifications like HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3.
* A full manual driving licence you’ll be out and about from time to time.
* A Christian faith and a heart for working within our values.
* A calm, compassionate approach and a real understanding of how relationships can help children recover and grow.
* DDP Level 1 training is a bonus but if you don’t have it yet, we can help you get there.

As we do our work in Christ’s name the job you have applied for requires you to have a Christian faith and be able to work within and uphold our Christian Ethos. This is an Occupational Requirement under Part 1 of Schedule 9 to the Equality Act 2010.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
