We are looking for a skilled and motivated Property Development & Planning Co-ordinator to join our team and take a key role in managing planning applications, navigating building control processes, and coordinating contractors and tenders.
Role Overview
As the Property Development & Planning Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring all development projects are planned, approved, and executed in compliance with local regulations and best practices. This role requires a strong understanding of UK planning systems, building regulations, and construction procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
Planning & Permits:
* Liaise with architects ensuring successful planning applications and appeals.
* Engage with local authorities, planning consultants, solicitors, contractors and other stakeholders.
* Monitor planning policy changes and their impact on future developments.
Building Control & Regulations:
* Coordinate with building control officers and ensure all developments meet regulatory compliance.
* Oversee the preparation and submission of building regulations drawings and documents.
* Track and manage compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
Contractor & Tender Management:
* Assist in the preparation of tender documentation and procurement of contractors.
* Coordinate tendering processes including evaluation and appointment of construction contractors.
* Manage relationships with contractors, consultants, and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Coordination:
* Work closely with internal teams including development, design, and finance to support project delivery.
* Assist in project scheduling, reporting, and budget monitoring.
* Maintain detailed project documentation and compliance records.
Skills & Experience Required
* Proven experience in a property development, planning, or construction co-ordination role.
* Strong knowledge of the UK planning system and building control processes.
* Experience preparing and managing planning and building regulation applications.
* Understanding of construction tenders, contracts, and procurement practices.
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of planning software or project management tools is a plus.
* Degree or diploma in Planning, Construction Management, Architecture, or related field is desirable.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £28,500.00-£32,000.00 per year
