What you'll do
* Install, inspect, maintain, and upgrade equipment including, but not limited to MCCs, switchgear, transformers, substations, and cables
* Support both Low Voltage and Medium Voltage distribution systems (including reactors and SVCs)
* Lead projects with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to drive improvement in system reliability and safety
* Perform arc flash analysis and mitigation
* Serve as an electrical safety trainer
* Collaborate with Nucor's corporate power team to implement best practices

Minimum Qualifications
* A minimum of an Associate\'s degree in an electrical field is required and/or equivalent experience in the electrical field.
Preferred Qualifications
* Bachelors in Electrical Engineering with power emphasis or other pertinent training, certifications, or experience
* Melting, casting, or rolling process experience.
* Experience with short circuit studies including relay coordination, arc flash analysis, transient analysis, and harmonic analysis.
* AutoCad capability and experience programming microprocessor relays.
* Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience.
* Working knowledge of NFPA 70E and NFPA 70B
