Job Description Location: West Midlands | Job Type: Full-time | PermanentSalary: £60,000 per annumSetting: 5-Bed Home | 3 Children | Low to Medium Support Needs We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Manager to lead a 5-bed Ofsted-registered children’s home in the West Midlands, supporting up to 3 children aged 10 and over with low to medium support needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage a small, child-centred service with full backing from an established provider. Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the home Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards Register with Ofsted as the home’s Registered Manager Oversee care planning, risk assessments, and safeguarding practices Build and lead a skilled, trauma-informed staff team Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the home Liaise with local authorities, social workers, and other key professionals Foster a warm, therapeutic environment focused on development, safety, and independence Monitor and evaluate care delivery, ensuring continuous improvement Assist with budget planning and resource allocation in collaboration with the provider Experience & Requirements: Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) Minimum 2 years’ experience in children’s residential care within the last 5 years At least 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma-informed practice, and child development Experience supporting children with low to medium emotional, behavioural, or learning needs Confident in working with multi-agency teams and leading inspections Why a 5-Bed Home for 3 Children?
