About the Role As an Infrastructure & IT Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between infrastructure deployment and both internal and external customer-facing technical support. You’ll support implementation of AeroCloud’s systems while also providing high-level support, particularly for network-related issues. This is a dynamic role for someone who thrives in both project-based and operational environments. Key Responsibilities Implementation & Infrastructure · Support the deployment and configuration of AeroCloud’s systems across customer sites working with the implementation project manager and lead implementation engineer. · Deliver technical projects covering networks, platforms, and end-user environments. · Contribute to infrastructure lifecycle events and follow change management protocols. · Supporting the Infrastructure Manager in the design, build and implementation of projects to improve AeroCloud’s infrastructure and all surrounding systems. · Configure network devices including switches and firewalls. Internal IT · Provision and configure laptops, peripherals, user accounts, and access permissions for new employees. · Act as a first and second-line support contact for internal users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues across Windows, macOS, and SaaS environments (e.g., M365). · Enforce endpoint protection, MFA, and security best practices across employee devices and services. · Assist with the planning and execution of IT initiatives, such as system upgrades, office network improvements, device refresh programs, or onboarding new tools/platforms. · Maintain internal IT documentation and user guides to improve self-service and knowledge sharing. Support & Troubleshooting · Act as an escalation point for network-related support issues from the 2nd Line team. · Diagnose and resolve advanced issues across SaaS platforms, networks, and hardware. · Collaborate closely with both internal teams and airport stakeholders to ensure timely resolutions. · Assist with remote and onsite troubleshooting of airport infrastructure, including legacy device connectivity (e.g., USB/Serial). · Track and analyse ticket trends to identify potential areas for process improvements. Process Improvement and Documentation: · Oversee and maintain up-to-date knowledge base documentation to assist infrastructure and support team. · Maintain accurate documentation for system configurations and customer environments. · Collaborate with the stakeholders to streamline workflows and support change management initiatives. The duties and responsibilities of the role may vary and change depending on the AeroCloud business needs. Requirements What are we looking for? Essential Experience · Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, networking (CCNA or equivalent). · Experience configuring firewalls, switches, VLANs, IP routing. · Solid troubleshooting skills with SaaS platforms and remote hardware support. · Comfortable working in customer environments and managing multiple priorities. · Experience in airport/airline software environments. Desirable Experience · 1 years in infrastructure, systems, or network engineering. · Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS). · Database experience (SQL Server, MongoDB). · Previous experience in a dual support/implementation role. Communication Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Problem-Solving Abilities: Demonstrated experience in handling escalations and incident management with a structured and calm approach. Customer Orientation: A proactive approach to meeting customer expectations and enhancing satisfaction. Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical and decision-making skills to drive process improvements and optimise performance.
