Job Description:
Our client, a leading Utility Company, is seeking a Senior HVDC Cable Engineer on a freelance basis to join their team. As a Senior HVDC Cable Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and implementation of high-voltage direct current (HVDC) cable systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement HVDC cable systems, including system layout, cable sizing, and cable routing
* Prepare technical specifications and drawings for HVDC cable systems
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and contractors
* Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
* Conduct technical reviews and evaluations of HVDC cable systems
* Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
* Provide technical support and guidance to project teams
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
* Minimum of 10 years of experience in HVDC cable engineering
* Strong technical knowledge of HVDC cable systems and design methodologies
* Experience with cable sizing, routing, and installation
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Ability to work independently and remotely
* Familiarity with industry standards and regulations
