Salary: £140‑£145 per day; Food Allowance: £40 per week; Rotation: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off; Start Date: 15th June; Contract Type: Self‑employed; Location: Exeter, Devon.
About the Role
We are seeking a kind, reliable, and experienced female live‑in carer to support an independent lady living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) in her own home in Exeter. This is a long‑term position for someone who is compassionate, patient, and confident in providing high‑quality, person‑centred care while promoting independence and dignity.
Key Responsibilities
* Providing daily personal care in a respectful and supportive manner
* Assisting with mobility and transfers using a standing hoist
* Supporting daily living activities while encouraging independence
* Monitoring wellbeing and responding calmly and confidently to needs
* Maintaining a safe, clean, and comfortable home environment
Essential Skills & Experience
* Proven experience supporting clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS)
* Care certificates and relevant training
* Manual handling and standing hoist experience using a re-turn (essential)
* Up‑to‑date Moving & Handling certificate
* Excellent understanding of person‑centred care
* Ability to work independently and responsibly

* Respectful of dignity, privacy, and independence
* Strong communication skills
Requirements
* Female carer (genuine occupational requirement)
* Enhanced DBS and registered on the Update Service
* Right to work in the UK
* Up‑to‑date training certificates
* Self‑employed status, including:
o Your own liability insurance
