New Directions Education are currently recruiting a Secondary History Teacher to work in schools across the Wirral. This exciting role offers the chance to inspire students through engaging and thought-provoking History lessons across KS3 and KS4.
You will have the opportunity to bring history to life, helping pupils develop critical thinking skills, a deeper understanding of the past, and an appreciation for how history shapes the world today. The school provides a supportive and inclusive environment, encouraging teachers to innovate in their planning and delivery while contributing to the wider school community.
The Role:
1. Teaching History at KS3 and KS4
2. Planning and delivering creative, high-quality lessons
3. Tracking and supporting student progress
4. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
5. Working closely with the Humanities department and wider staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant UK teaching qualification
7. Experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
8. Strong classroom management and communication skills
9. Enthusiasm for History and education
10. A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
