To line manage a team of Renal Medicine band 7's predominantly based at St Luke's Hospital and Skipton Hospital.

To oversee care at the St Luke's and Skipton in centre Dialysis Units.

To provide operational nursing leadership within the CSU of Specialist Medicine.

To project manage the expansion of in-centre Haemodialysis services.

To line manage a team of Renal Medicine band 7's predominantly based at St Luke's Hospital and Skipton Hospital.

To oversee care at the St Luke's and Skipton in-centre Dialysis Units.

To provide operational nursing leadership within the CSU of Specialist Medicine.

To project manage the expansion of in-centre Haemodialysis services.


Person specification


Experience

* Substantial management / leadership experience at senior nurse level in relevant clinical specialties. Current experience of working within an Acute Hospital setting.
* An understanding of Health Policy and its impact on the Professional Nursing Agenda and BTHFT.
* Experience of delivering service improvements with positive impacts on patient safety, experience, and quality of care.
* Evidence of developing nursing, research, or audit initiatives.
* Experience of leading and developing teams.
* Experience in budget management, human resources, quality assurance, change management, complaints handling, policy implementation, and participating in Trust-wide initiatives or committees.
* Large-scale stakeholder engagement experience.


Skills

* Knowledge of quality standards, audits, and setting benchmarks.
* Leadership of large teams.
* Strong organizational, management, negotiation, and team-building skills.
* Effective appraisal, change management, and communication skills.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and accurate typing skills.
* Strategic thinking, service improvement, infection control strategies.
* Ability to meet deadlines, maintain records, and conduct audits.
* Leadership and influencing skills to motivate teams and meet Trust expectations.
* Patient-centered approach, quality benchmarking, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Knowledge

Qualifications

* First-level Registered Nurse.
* Degree or equivalent experience in a relevant environment.
* Post-registration qualification or continuous professional development in relevant specialty.
* Recognized leadership qualification or equivalent experience.
* Masters-level qualification or equivalent knowledge and experience.
