The post holder will have theoretical and practical knowledge of managing clients with complex substance use problems and be expected to provide assessment, monitoring, therapeutic intervention and treatment. The post will work involve working autonomously in the community and clinic setting under the supervision and guidance of the Team Manager.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic and clinically creative individual to work as a Band 5 substance use nurse in our busy Community Drug and Alcohol Team working with adults with complex substance use needs. You will undertake the role of Key Worker for a caseload of clients who are dependent on substances with prescribing needs. You will need to be highly motivated and able to work autonomously.
You will need to possess excellent interpersonal skills and qualities and be committed to the on-going development of the service, with a person centred focus. You need to have excellent all round client centred skills together with a genuine desire to work with this client group.
