Role Overview: As a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant in a secondary setting, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs as they navigate their teenage years. Your focus will be on helping students reach their full potential:academically and socially:by providing tailored assistance and guidance. Key Responsibilities:
*
Assist subject teachers in delivering accessible lessons across the secondary curriculum.
*
Foster a positive, mature, and engaging learning environment.
*
Provide one:to:one or small:group support to facilitate student progress.
*
Monitor student development and report findings to the SENCO and parents.
*
Support students during transitions between classes and during break times.
*
Adhere strictly to the schools safeguarding and inclusion policies.
Desired Skills and Qualities:

A true passion for supporting the development of young people.

Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with teenagers.

A flexible, resilient, and adaptable mindset.
*
Previous experience supporting individuals with special educational needs (ASD, ADHD, or SEMH).

Reliable transport or easy access to Upminster is an advantage.

Proven professional references and a clean record.
