A well-established and respected law firm based in Yeovil is seeking to recruit an experienced Litigation Solicitor with 3 years’ post-qualification experience or more to join its growing litigation team.
The Role:
The successful candidate will manage a varied and high-quality caseload of contentious matters, providing clear, practical advice to a diverse client base. The role offers a high degree of autonomy alongside the support of an experienced and collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handling a broad range of litigation matters, which may include:
o Civil and commercial disputes
o Contractual claims
o Property and landlord & tenant disputes
o Debt recovery
o Professional negligence claims
* Managing files from inception through to resolution, including court proceedings where necessary
* Drafting pleadings, correspondence, and legal documentation
* Conducting negotiations and alternative dispute resolution
* Attending hearings, mediations, and client meetings
* Maintaining a high standard of client care and compliance with regulatory requirements
* Contributing to business development and the firm’s profile within the local market
* Supervising and mentoring junior fee earners where appropriate
Candidate Requirementsh3>
* Qualified Solicitor / Legal Executive
* Minimum of 3 years’ PQE in Litigation
* Strong technical knowledge of civil procedure and dispute resolution
* Ability to manage a caseload independently with minimal supervision
* Excellent communication, drafting, and organisational skills
* A commercially aware and client-focused approach
* Experience of business development or willingness to contribute to firm growth
