About the role
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 40 hours per week
Location: Birmingham
Reporting to the M&E Heating Service and Repair Programme Manager, you ll lead a team of approximately 12 engineers delivering repairs, maintenance, servicing, and void (Empty Homes) works. Taking a hands-on approach, you ll provide technical guidance, coach your team to meet performance targets, and ensure consistently high standards across all areas of delivery.
You'll play a key role in driving quality assurance, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory standards-while keeping customer satisfaction at the heart of service delivery.

What we re looking for
We're seeking a skilled professional with strong leadership qualities and a proven track record in heating services. You'll bring:
* NVQ Level 3 in HVAC (or equivalent qualification)
* Core Gas Safety (CCN1) and SSCS Certificate (or equivalent)
* Gas Safe "Registered Person" status
* Level 3 Gas Audit qualification
* Extensive experience in heating systems from installation to commissioning
* Proven ability to lead, develop, and manage technical teams
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and gas safety procedures, including unsafe situations
* Excellent communication, organisational, and people management skills
Additional requirements
* A full UK driving licence (a company car or cash allowance is provided with the role)
* An enhanced DBS check is required (we will arrange this for you)
* Right to work in the UK
