We are working in partnership with a specialist secondary provision in Skelmersdale to recruit a dedicated and resilient SEMH Teaching Assistant. This is a full-time role to start as soon as possible, offered on a temporary-to-permanent basis for the right candidate. The Role: You will be supporting students aged 11–16 who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access learning. Many of the pupils have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and may display challenging behaviour as a result of unmet needs or past trauma. Your role will involve: Working 1:1 or in small groups to deliver tailored support. Assisting the class teacher in managing behaviour and promoting engagement. Helping students develop strategies for emotional regulation and social interaction. Contributing to a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment.
