Energy & Utilities Infrastructure Engineer - Associate / Associate Director (Development)

Overview
Our Development team specialises in full‑lifecycle sustainable infrastructure solutions. We advise private and public sector clients on planning and design issues relating to Highways, Public Realm, Sewerage, SUDS, Building Drainage, Earthworks, Flood Protection and Utilities Coordination on a wide range of developments. We collaborate closely with other WSP disciplines on high‑profile multi‑disciplinary projects.
Responsibilities
* Lead utility projects from Concept and Feasibility through to Detailed Design.
* Coordinate and design multi‑utility infrastructure and manage project and commercial delivery.
* Engage with and advise clients on technical utilities matters on UK and international projects.
* Mentor and develop our growing team and uphold our professional reputation.
* Drive business growth with existing clients and develop new client relationships.
* Deliver high‑level commercial awareness, project/programme management and efficient problem‑solving.
* Work flexible from UK offices (base office flexible).
Qualifications
* Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working toward CEng.
* Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
* Experience delivering utility connections, diversions and infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large schemes.
* Solid understanding of Electricity, Gas, Water and Telecommunications networks in new development contexts.
* Experience of Multi‑Utility / iDNO / ICP and commercial risk/opportunities.
* Ability to develop utility demand calculations and manage multiple concurrent projects.
* Excellent communication skills and proven client relationship management.
* Experience directing BIM teams (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, etc.).
* UK Security Check (SC) – Must be able to obtain.
