Job Description:

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a District Business Manager, Gulf District, to join our Vision Team. The ideal candidate will reside near Birmingham, AL or Jackson, MS and will cover LA, AL, MS, and parts of AR & TN.

Position Summary:

Manages and evaluates the sales of the organization's products/programs in the assigned district and/or geographical area. Supervises the sales force, ensuring proper support levels with related customers and/or organizations. Represents the organization by maintaining contact with major accounts/channels within the jurisdiction and applies broad knowledge of the organization's products, services, and marketing techniques. Fosters a motivating team environment focused on success, development, and accountability.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Supervises, evaluates, and develops Territory Business Managers within the assigned district, providing advice, counseling, performance management, and guidance.
2. Ability to coach and develop Territory Business Managers on delivering a competitive, clinical, and financial message tailored to meet customer needs.
3. Prepares and reviews regular sales reports reflecting district activities and translates them into meaningful direction for the team.
4. Participates in determining district market potential and in preparing district sales expense estimates.
5. Engages and influences major accounts as well as channels in the assigned district.
6. Participates in and drives the recruitment, selection, training, and development of sales representatives.
7. Ensures compliance with current Healthcare Compliance expectations and directions.
8. Leads the rollout of new products and initiatives, resource allocation, and budget management within the district.
9. Manages complexity and translates it into action.
10. Collaborates across the field sales organization and cross-functionally within the Home Office.


Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree required.
2. At least 8 years of outside professional sales experience, including business-to-business and/or medical sales.
3. Experience or training in sales management required.
4. Knowledge of sales applications and principles preferred.
5. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, business acumen, conflict management, and communication skills required.
6. Valid U.S. driver’s license required.
7. Up to 60% travel, including overnight and weekends.
8. Coverage includes LA, AL, MS, and parts of AR & TN.
