Criminal Justice Support Worker
Location: Hybrid - 2 days in the office and 3 days home based
Salary: £23,500 - £25,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week (full-time)
Contract: Fixed term until December 2026 (with commitment to funding until December 2027)
Red Snapper Recruitment are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Criminal Justice Support Worker to provide vital support to women on probation. This role will involve managing a caseload, delivering group sessions, and working closely with probation services and partner agencies to help women achieve positive outcomes and reduce reoffending.
You'll be covering for existing staff undertaking an evaluation project with the Jabbs Foundation and the University of Birmingham, focused on assessing the effectiveness of Women's Centres.

Key Responsibilities
* Support women in Salford who are on probation.
* Complete detailed documentation, including referral and WRNA assessments of service users' needs.
* Liaise closely with the Probation Service, who are co located at the office.
* Agree individual action plans with each service user and regularly review progress.
* Manage a caseload of service users, supporting each individual in progressing through their support plan.
* Develop effective communication strategies with delivery partners, keeping relevant people informed of progress or issues.
* Maintain up to date contact logs after every client or agency interaction.
* Capture and produce management information and data relating to the project.
* Produce monthly reports relating to targets set by managers and funders.
* Establish and maintain constructive working relationships with all programme partners.
* Ensure adequate staff cover for the centre during sickness, training, or breaks.
* Attend supervision sessions with the Centre Manager.
* Attend training and "train the trainer" courses, delivering group training once qualified.
* Adhere to all project policies and promote the service actively.
* Contribute to other duties required by the project, including group sessions, case reviews, training sessions, and events.
* Comply with all safeguarding policies and procedures, ensuring safeguarding is everyone's responsibility.
Person Specification
To be successful in this role, you'll bring:
* Knowledge of issues affecting women and offenders, and an understanding of offending behaviour.
* Experience working with at least two of the following groups:
o Women
o Offenders
o People at risk of offending
* Strong case management and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent time management and organisational skills.
* Experience meeting targets and reporting outcomes.
* The ability to build rapport and trust with service users and partners.
* A proactive approach to outreach work.
* Previous experience in a social care setting.
* A relevant qualification in social care, youth/community work, or health.
* Access to a car and a valid driving licence is essential
