Customer Success Specialist


A fantastic opportunity for a Customer Success Specialist to join a growing deep-tech software company, supporting enterprise customers in adopting and scaling advanced technology solutions. This is a highly varied role sitting at the intersection of delivery, customer success, and commercial, where you will play a key part in ensuring customers gain real value from complex technical products.


This position would suit either an early-career professional with some customer-facing experience or an experienced CSM who is eager to continue to build a career in customer success within a fast-paced and evolving environment. As one of the first hires in this function, you will have the opportunity to shape the role as the company grows.


Location: Cambridge – hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office (please note the office is an hour walk from the nearest train station so not commutable by public transport from London)


Salary: £35,000 - £45,000 per annum + benefits (may be slightly more available for an experienced Enterprise CSM)


Requirements for Customer Success Specialist:

* Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and customer requirements simultaneously
* Experience in a customer-facing role such as customer success, delivery, support, consulting, or similar
* Confident communicator, able to build relationships with senior stakeholders including directors
* Comfortable working with technical products such as software, SaaS, data platforms, or similar
* Proactive and solutions-focused mindset with the ability to handle customer issues effectively
* Ability to deliver training or support onboarding activities for customers
* Commercial awareness with an interest in renewals and identifying opportunities for account growth
* Highly motivated and adaptable, with the ability to grow as the role evolves
* Degree educated in a STEM subject is beneficial but not essential
* Willingness to travel internationally, including approximately 4 weeks per year in the US


Responsibilities for Customer Success Specialist:

* Managing the onboarding and delivery process for new and existing customers
* Acting as a key point of contact for customers, supporting them through implementation and early adoption
* Coordinating multiple customer projects, ensuring timelines, priorities, and stakeholders are aligned
* Supporting customers with technical queries and ensuring issues are resolved effectively
* Working closely with internal technical teams to translate customer needs into actionable requirements
* Delivering training sessions and onboarding support to ensure successful product adoption
* Monitoring customer usage and engagement, proactively identifying opportunities to improve outcomes
* Supporting customer renewals and identifying opportunities for account expansion
* Contributing to the development of internal processes, documentation, and best practices
