Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Vehicle Dynamics Integration Engineer to join our Driven Attribute team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering the ride, steering, and handling characteristics for future world-class vehicles. You will support the tuning and integration of all dynamics attribute deliverables from concept through to production, gaining valuable experience across multiple vehicle dynamics disciplines. This is a hands-on contract role ideal for a dynamic individual with a strong foundational knowledge of vehicle dynamics and a passion for driving.
Responsibilities
* Support the definition and validation of all vehicle dynamics attribute targets.
* Facilitate the planning and execution of vehicle testing, tuning, and parts integration activities.
* Ensure Vehicle Dynamics requirements are effectively cascaded to and transacted with system and component teams.
* Demonstrate vehicle performance status against targets to key stakeholders and customers.
* Manage and deliver specific technical projects within the dynamics domain.
* Work collaboratively with senior engineers to resolve technical and process challenges.
Qualifications
* A significant and demonstrable understanding of vehicle dynamics fundamentals (ride, handling, steering).
* Strong organisational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
* Awareness of relevant vehicle dynamics development methods, including subjective and objective evaluation techniques.
* A Mechanical, Automotive, Aeronautical, or other relevant Engineering Degree.
* Some practical experience in tuning road vehicles, subjective evaluation, and proven experience on a proving ground. (Alternative: significant personal track driving experience).
* Previous experience leading the resolution of business, technical, or process issues within a project team.
* An understanding of relevant CAE methods and system/component level testing.
