Proactive Pumping Station Senior Technician - Bury St Edmunds / Norwich / Southend Salary: Circa £44,000 depending on skills and experience and business use of company van Permanent : Full Time, 37 hours per week Location: Bury St Edmunds / Norwich / Southend What you will be doing? Reporting directly to the Proactive Pumping Station Manager you will work within the teams to drive continuous improvement and efficiency across our Treatment Works and Pumping Station Assets. Providing Technical support, expertise and advice to deliver effective and efficient operations of Water Recycling Operations resources, processes, assets and systems. As part of your role you will identify, implement and share improvements to facilitate effective and efficient operation of the Water Recycling Operations process, working closely with relevant teams to delivery efficient solutions to operational issues. This will include coaching and supporting in the development and performance management of Technicians. Key tasks include: Develop, encourage and foster good and safe working practices and work in accordance with the Company’s safety rules at all times Work within the Ovarro Pump insight to analyse asset performance and upload data. Manage available resource to ensure all maintance work is delivered within agreed level of service. Work closely with internal stakeholders to ensure all actions are achieved on service completion. Drive continuous improvement of process and service through implementation of new ideas/equipment Provide expert support to monitor and coach field resources in techniques/equipment used for the service and maintenance of treatment processes and asset What does it take to be a Senior Operations Technician? Full driving licence Demonstrate experience and awareness of Health and Safety within an operational environment Ability to adapt communication style (both written and verbal) to suit a wide range of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrate customer service skills and ability to deal with customers in an empathetic and professional manner Knowledge or understanding of wastewater systems including Ovarro and processes would be beneficial In this role you must be able to work within a confined space, and at height without restrictions.
