Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 hours per day (including 30-minute break)

About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Technician to support, maintain, and continually improve our ISO 9001 Quality Management System across two UK sites. This is a hands-on role requiring strong shop-floor presence, working closely with mill operators and production teams to ensure high product quality, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain, support, and improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
2. Conduct daily quality control inspections and shop-floor activities.
3. Ensure all manufactured products meet required specifications and customer standards.
4. Work closely with production teams to address quality concerns and prevent recurrence.
5. Investigate, manage, and close internal and external nonconformities.
6. Recommend and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
7. Monitor and review raw material quality and supplier performance.
8. Liaise professionally with customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues.
9. Identify and manage quality-related business risks.
10. Support and manage change control processes.
11. Ensure compliance with relevant standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
12. Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
13. Perform inspection, testing, and verification duties.
14. Prepare quality reports, maintain records, and support KPI tracking.

15. Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001.

20. Full UK driving licence.
21. SAP experience (desirable).

Essential:
28. GCSEs (or equivalent) Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English.
29. Experience within a Quality department in a manufacturing environment.
30. Experience supporting or operating a QMS in a large manufacturing facility.
Desirable:
31. Quality-related certification (auditing, quality control, etc.).
32. Exposure to materials testing or metallurgy (mild & stainless steel).
33. Automotive supply chain experience and familiarity with PPAP processes.
