An Exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Records Office in Central. The medical Records Office will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring that the case notes are scanned and uploaded successfully in a timely manner.
The post holder will cover all aspects of the role including, collection of deceased notes, sorting of casenotes, scanning of casenotes and uploading scanning to internal systems.
Main duties of the job
The Health Records Officer will be responsible for providing an essential support service in the continuing care of patients. To actively promote the vision for the Health Records service working towards a Digital Records future and support the delivery of modernisation plans for Health Records. This will require the post holder to support with the delivery of the Health Records Operational Plan by supporting the Health Records Supervisors/Co-ordinator/ Assistant Site Manager.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications And/or Knowledge
Essential criteria
NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification/ work experience
A general understanding of General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2018, Data Protection Act 2018, and Access to Health Records Act 1990
Knowledge and understanding of principles of confidentiality
Desirable criteria
Knowledge of record retention and destruction periods
Working knowledge of how to manage multiple document types
Experience

Experience of working with Microsoft packages

Experience of handling sensitive and complex sets of information and situations
