Vickerstock are delighted to be working in partnership with our client a well-established and growing food production business where quality, safety, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do on the appointment of Quality Assurance Operator for their North Down site. Reporting to the Technical Director, you will be responsible for monitoring and verifying adherence to the company's Food Safety and Quality Management System, ensuring products meet the highest standards of safety, legality, and quality. What your day to day will look like: Carrying out daily verification of Critical Control Points (CCPs) Ensuring production teams complete quality checks in line with procedures and required frequencies Verifying accuracy and completion of quality records Monitoring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Hygiene Practices (GHP) Conducting regular production floor inspections, identifying and reporting non-conformances Supporting production and technical teams in resolving day-to-day quality issues Monitoring and reporting on product and process waste What you will need to succeed: A minimum of 1 year's experience within a food manufacturing environment Strong working knowledge of GMP and GHP standards The ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the business A proactive approach with strong attention to detail The ability to work collaboratively with both technical and production teams A food-related qualification would be desirable Skills: quality assurance technical production food safety
