 
        
        Overview
Trainee Service Engineer role at JLA Group. This is a field-based position in the North West. The role involves training to service, commission, and repair client equipment, including Microbiological Safety Cabinets, Clean Air Devices, clean room suites, and other LEV devices. A van, fuel card, and full toolkit are provided.
Responsibilities
 * Service and maintenance of Clean Air Devices and Cleanrooms to ISO14644, Microbiological Safety Cabinets to BSEN12469, Fume Cupboards to BSEN14175 and COSHH, and other LEV devices.
 * Respond to reactive site calls and perform repairs as required.
 * Install clean air devices and HEPA filtration.
 * Carry basic stock to diagnose and repair breakdowns during first attendance.
 * Manage van stock in the same manner.
 * Prepare cleanrooms reports and forward to senior engineers/line manager for final checking.
 * Understand and demonstrate service delivery excellence within the role.
 * Be aware of operational and regulatory risks and report any risk that may impact the business.
 * Conduct risk assessments and method statements in line with health and safety requirements.
 * Coordinate with the Head of Compliance to ensure role-related compliance.
Qualifications and Skills
 * Possess comprehensive technical skills to fault find and rectify.
 * Basic plumbing skills and a good understanding of basic electrical work.
 * Full UK driving licence. Flexible approach to work, including being prepared to work out of hours and weekends when required.
 * DBS Enhanced check is required for all successful candidates.
 * Use of PDA; knowledge of BMS systems.
 * Excellent understanding of Microbiological Safety Cabinets, Pharmaceutical Isolators, Cleanrooms, LEV systems, Fume cupboards and related devices.
 * Strong knowledge of BSEN12469, ISO14644, COSHH, BSEN14175; HSG258 is preferable.
 * Good interpersonal and communication skills; strong organisational skills and a can-do attitude; able to use own initiative.
 * Full UK driving licence required; ideally P601; IPAF license optional; LNKD1_UKTJ (as applicable).
