Job Description
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Division is hiring a Lead Structural Design Engineer for an advanced aircraft development program located in Berkeley, MO. Phantom Works Proprietary programs develop complex, highly integrated, advanced systems, enabling future growth for Boeing and our Department of Defense (DoD) Customers. Position Responsibilities
1. Develop, integrate, and document structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
2. Maintain and modify structural and interior payload system and component designs using 3-D CAD tools, providing product definition to engineering, production, suppliers, and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
3. Lead performance, integration, and analysis of tests to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements.
4. Manage supplier development, testing, and production activities, coordinating to optimize design and meet program goals.
5. Investigate emerging technologies to develop future product design concepts.
6. Work under minimal supervision.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite in Berkeley, MO. The candidate must be able to work on-site and hold an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required for special program access.
Basic Qualifications
* Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate in Aeronautical, Aerospace, Astronautical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering.
* 8+ years’ experience with 3D solid modeling software (e.g., Unigraphics).
* 5+ years’ experience with structural design on military aerospace products.
Additional Information
Education/experience typically includes advanced technical education and 9+ years of related work or an equivalent combination. Relocation assistance is available based on eligibility. The position offers a referral bonus and requires compliance with Boeing’s drug-free workplace policies.
Pay range: $113,050 - $152,950. Applications accepted until June 4, 2025.
