Management Accountant - Digital responsible to: Finance Manager - Digital. Department: Finance. Location: JD Group Head Office, Bury, Greater Manchester, BL9 8RR.
Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Management Accountant to join the Digital Reporting Finance team. This role plays a key part in producing accurate and timely management accounts for JD fascia across UK & Europe while supporting efficient financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Responsible for the preparation of the monthly management accounts for JD fascia across UK & Europe
* Manage P&L reporting and provide insights on cost lines to business teams.
* Produce monthly balance sheet reconciliations, identifying risks and opportunities and communicating these to the Finance Manager
* Identify and implement automation or streamline opportunities within our current processes to enhance efficiency, reduce manual effort, and improve the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
* Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues that delay month-end close processes.
* Support the timely and effective completion of the group audit, working confidently with Deloitte.
* Partner with commercial finance teams to deliver actionable insights that will support strategic decision-making.
* Support the transformations team in projects that will be rolled out within the business.
Candidate Profile Essential Qualifications & Experience
* Fully or part qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
* Experience in a similar role within a fast paced, multi fascia online retail or commercial environment.

* Problem solving: Strong analytical skills with a solution-oriented mindset.
