Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has become available within Chepstow Community Hospital on Cas Gwent Ward for a Health Care Support Worker. The role is advertised at Band 2 with a possibility for progression to Band 3 as part of a national review. This post does not meet the Home Office’s criteria for a certificate of sponsorship.
Responsibilities
* Deliver excellent nursing care to patients on the Cas Gwent Ward.
* Assist nursing staff with routine care and support patient rehabilitation.
* Manage operational duties in a 34‑bed ward, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.
* Work shifts of 12 or 6 hours, covering day and night, including bank holidays.
* Participate in change management initiatives and support colleagues to improve patient care.
Qualifications and Skills
* NVQ Level 2 qualification desirable, although not essential.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Good computer skills.
* Ability to speak Welsh is desirable; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome.
