Overview
As Head of Projects Delivery, you will bring professional project management expertise to lead the successful delivery of English Heritage's projects, ensuring high standards of quality, cost control, and timelines across a diverse portfolio spanning Conservation, Information Technology, Visitor Experience, and Organisational Change.
You will oversee a team of Senior Project Managers, embed best practice project management, strengthen capability across the organisation and ensure that risks and issues are proactively managed and that project delivery is consistent, transparent, and aligned with organisational priorities.
Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of projects across a diverse portfolio spanning Conservation, Information Technology, Visitor Experience, and Organisational Change.
* Oversee a team of Senior Project Managers, embedding best practice project management and strengthening capability across the organisation.
* Proactively manage risks and issues, ensuring project delivery is consistent, transparent, and aligned with organisational priorities.
* Foster a positive, high‑performing team culture.
* Support the organisation to deliver a complex and varied programme of work.
Qualifications
* Project Management Professional (PMP) qualification.
* Extensive experience leading complex, multidisciplinary projects across Conservation, Information Technology, Visitor Experience, and Organisational Change.
* Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high‑performing teams.
* Expertise in applying structured project management frameworks and best practice.
* Proven ability to manage risks, issues, and delivery performance at scale.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, including working with senior leaders.
