Assistant Service Manager - Ear, Nose and Throat
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Service Manager within the Ear, Nose and Throat Directorate. The role involves ensuring robust systems are in place to achieve service delivery and patient access targets. Responsibilities include:
* Aligning local processes with Trust and national standards
* Improving data quality within the directorate and clinical units
* Simplifying administrative processes to support efficient patient care pathways
* Training staff on processes and electronic patient record documentation
* Managing outpatient waiting lists and ensuring compliance with national targets
* Maximizing income through accurate activity capture and coding
The postholder will oversee patient access targets, escalate issues, validate pathways, and lead training initiatives. They will manage the outpatient booking team, improve data quality, and support performance analysis and improvement plans. The role also involves managing clinic templates, optimizing clinic and theatre utilization, and ensuring activity is accurately recorded and coded.
