Due to the nature of work that Sonic Healthcare UK undertakes, our clients require that Employees filling certain roles, need, as part of their on-boarding to complete a DBS Check. This role falls in to the category of requiring a DBS check (standard).
About the role:
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Multi-disciplined Biomedical Scientist (BMS) in our newly equipped laboratory at Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore. The successful candidate will join our team of dedicated biomedical scientists and support staff in delivering a high-quality pathology service. We are looking for someone who is positive, proactive and attention to detail is essential.
Main duties involve monitoring workload, participating in all aspect of diagnostic laboratory work through analysis and authorisation of results. The post holder will help with daily laboratory duties, supervision and training of less experienced staff and development of the service. They will support and contribute to the teams Quality Management System by participating in audits, change control, incidents and CAPA. Training will be provided.
The ideal candidate will be committed to service excellence and have a genuine desire for continued personal and professional development. Candidates should have a suitable approved undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science (or equivalent) and be registered with the HCPC.
The laboratory operates a 24/7 service so the successful candidate will be expected to participate in all shifts required to cover this timeframe.
