Job Description Summary of the Role The Project Manager (APM)/NEC3 Supervisor is responsible to the Senior Project Manager and has a key role in supporting the overall management and coordination of this capital infrastructure project. The Project manager element of the role requirements is to assists in strategic planning, risk management, and quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Effective communication with stakeholders, contractors, and team members is paramount, as is the ability to adapt to unforeseen challenges and changes in project scope. This position requires a strong understanding of project management principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to the successful execution of capital infrastructure initiatives. The candidate will be required to deliver at pace and demonstrate effective application of programme and project management skills, tools and techniques. For the NEC3 Supervisor element of the role, we are looking for an experienced NEC3/4 construction supervisor to support delivery of project which sits within a nuclear safeguarding setting. You will work collaboratively to ensure construction activities are delivered to the highest quality and safety standards. Previous experience on a large civil engineering project is essential as well as being a dedicated and motivated Supervisor. The work you will do will give you exposure to senior stakeholders and project teams, you will be part of a highly skilled and ambitious team. Main Responsibilities Support the Project Manager (PM) in the administration and management of NEC contracts (ECI, ECC & Short Form). Assist in managing project financial performance, controlling expenditure against approved budgets and updating forecasts. Contribute to project assurance and gateway reviews, providing confidence to senior leadership and stakeholders. Monitor contractor, technical support provider, and supply chain performance against contractual obligations. Maintain productive working relationships with the supply chain throughout delivery. Commercial & Cost Control Review and challenge duration and cost estimates, identifying critical dates and risks. Apply financial metrics to track cost trends and forecast final costs. Review and assess proposed changes, determining high-level impacts and advising on options. Maintain accurate site records to support commercial processes (e.g. daily diaries). Manage site-based records and document control. Contract & Site Oversight Act in accordance with NEC3 ECC principles, promoting mutual trust and respect. Conduct inspections and tests to ensure compliance with the Scope. Attend Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT). Notify and manage defects through to completion and defects date. Mark Equipment, Plant and Materials for payment purposes where applicable. Advise the PM of any contractor performance concerns. Health, Safety & Quality Monitor Contractor Health & Safety performance on site and attend safety meetings. Review Test & Commissioning documentation and manage commissioning team outputs. Prepare quality performance reports and track Quality KPIs. Support lessons learned capture and tracking throughout the project lifecycle. Stakeholder & Operational Support Liaise with base personnel and stakeholders to ensure efficient project delivery. Support project optioneering and problem-solving activities. Assist contractors in navigating base permit systems and training certification requirements.
