We’re looking for a dedicated and well-rounded GP Veterinary Surgeon to join our friendly and supportive team.
As a first-opinion small animal practice, we take pride in delivering excellent patient care while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Our team consists of 3 Vets, 4 RVNs, 1 SVNs, 1 Kennel Assistant, 4 Receptionists, and a RVN Practice Manager. We are an RCVS-accredited Practice, situated within Pets at Home at Beaumont Leys Shopping Centre (LE4 1DE).

The Role:
No OOHs the diary is a mixture of consults and operating time
Consultations -Routine 15-minute appointments, with extended slots for complex cases and euthanasia.
Surgical Procedures-Routine neutering, lumpectomies, dentals, and more advanced surgeries such as, splenectomies, and foreign body removals (depending on your experience and interest).
In-Patient Management - Providing excellent care for hospitalised pets, supported by our skilled nursing team.
You’ll have spacious consult rooms, Our nursing and reception team are highly skilled at triaging calls, ensuring an efficient workflow and smooth patient experience.
Our Facilities & Equipment:
We’re proud to offer modern facilities and are continuously investing in new equipment. Our current setup includes:
1. In-house Idexx analysers (haematology, biochemistry, and SNAP test machines)
2. Microscope
3. Diathermy unit (with monopolar & bipolar capabilities)
4. Digital xrays
5. Handheld dental X-ray
6. A range of surgical kits
7. Cryotherapy unit
8. Brand new ultrasound machine
What We Offer:
9. Salary: £38,000 -£65,000 (dependent on experience and rota)
10. Holiday: 224 hours per year (increasing to 264 hours after 2 years)
11. RCVS & VDS fees covered
12. CPD allowance (funding and allocated days)
