Overview:
Our client, based in Bromborough, England, provides comprehensive manufacturing services for composite products in advanced engineering applications, including components and assemblies for aircraft structures and systems. With a strong pedigree in aerospace manufacturing since the 1940s, they undertake the manufacture and supply of composite detail components, complete sub-assemblies, or kits of parts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in preparing monthly management accounts, reports, and reconciliations.
2. Support budgeting and forecasting across various business units.
3. Perform cost analysis and assist with pricing models for defence and aerospace contracts.
4. Monitor financial performance on project accounting against key contracts.
5. Support audits by preparing relevant financial documentation.
6. Ensure compliance with financial regulations, defence standards, and internal controls.
7. Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Programme Management teams.
8. Utilize financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms) for transactions and reporting.
Education & Qualifications:
1. 2:1 or above in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field.
2. GCSEs in Maths and English - Grade B/6 or above.
3. Strong numerical and analytical skills.
4. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial modeling is a plus.
5. Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Team-oriented with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
8. Previous internship or placement in finance.
9. Interest or knowledge in aerospace and defence sectors.
10. Familiarity with financial regulations such as IFRS or UK GAAP.
