Senior Power Electronics Engineer

An opportunity for an experienced Senior Power Electronics Engineer to join an advanced R&D team, developing power electronics products from concept through to manufacture for industries such as automotive and industrial automation.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop power electronic circuits and systems
* Lead design of critical power components for new products
* Use SPICE simulation to support design decisions
* Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams on drive and system architecture
* Research and apply emerging power electronics technologies
Essential Skills & Experience
* MEng / MSc in Power Electronics or related discipline
* 5+ years’ experience in a commercial engineering environment
* Strong knowledge of SMPS, thermal design, DFM, mechanics, and PCB layout
* Experience with analogue and digital circuit design
Desirable
* Chartered Engineer status
* Prototype build, bench testing, and system experimentation
* Thermal, mechanical, or EMC experience for motor drives
