Main duties of the job
1. Lead the delivery, monitoring, and evaluation of high-quality, safe, effective, and efficient care across medical, surgical, and critical care units.
2. Collaborate with respiratory clinical leads across the site to develop respiratory physiotherapy services aligned with local, regional, and national priorities.
3. Manage the occupational therapy team within medical and surgical wards, supporting the senior occupational therapist with operational and clinical responsibilities.
4. Partner with organizational leaders, including Senior Consultants and ward managers, to influence and shape new models of care.
5. Promote innovative approaches to developing respiratory physiotherapy services across multiple teams.
6. Serve as an expert practitioner in respiratory physiotherapy, working with advanced professional autonomy, accountability, and scope of practice.
7. Lead initiatives in quality improvement and research within clinical practice and service areas organization-wide.
