Specialist Occupational Therapist Band 6 – Huntlyburn Acute Inpatient Unit, Huntlyburn Ward, Melrose. Base: Huntlyburn Ward, Melrose. 22.5 hours per week. Permanent contract.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Occupational Therapist to work within our multidisciplinary team at Huntlyburn Acute Inpatient Unit in the beautiful Scottish Borders.
Responsibilities
* Manage a caseload of complex cases using evidence based patient centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in order to encourage meaningful occupations. Your caseload will be diverse and will include people in the age range of 18 to 69 years of age.
* Provide clinical expertise, leadership and supervision of support staff. Demonstrate and promote trust values and leadership behaviours; engage in regular supervision, leadership development, CPD and student placements.
* Be highly autonomous while aligned with the multidisciplinary team on the ward and the wider Occupational Therapy Service within mental health, offering excellent connection, support and professional development.
Requirements
* The post holder must have a full driving licence and access to a car.
* To work in the United Kingdom, demonstrate the relevant permission to work in the country as required by UK law. NHS Scotland Boards will check entitlement to work; routes include specific visa types and EU settled/pre-settled status. See GOV.UK for details.
