Role Overview
We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Children’s Social Worker – Family Court Adviser to join the team in Birmingham. Key Responsibilities
Carry out robust, child-focused assessments to inform family court decisions.
Directly engage with children to ensure their voices are heard and reflected in court reports.
Utilise risk assessment, safeguarding knowledge, and mediation skills to recommend child-centred solutions.
Manage private law and public law cases, including matters raised by local authorities.
Liaise with families, solicitors, and partner agencies to deliver holistic and fair recommendations.
Prepare high-quality reports and present evidence in court, maintaining a focus on child welfare and protection.
What We’re Looking For
Qualified Social Worker with Social Work England registration.
Proven experience in children’s social care, ideally within court or safeguarding settings.
Skilled in writing court reports and presenting evidence.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and advocacy skills.
Confident in managing complex caseloads independently and collaboratively.
