Job Description
Who we are
“During the pandemic when drinking became home-bound, 3 friends and cocktail lovers realised that RTD cocktails sucked. Unlike in a real bar where cocktails are known for unique and interesting flavours, supermarket aisles are lined with dozens of brands all making the same 6 flavours. It made no sense; a special drink that's most known for innovation has NONE happening on the shelf, so we decided to do something about it”.
Ranj, Xav & Sim - Co-Founders.
What we do
At Mixtons, we're on a mission to bring back the magic of great cocktails by adding unique twists to classic cocktails.
We believe that by embracing the unknown, the different and the new, you unlock moments of joy that define life's best moments.
For anyone who believes that the best things happen when you step away from the ordinary and taste the unexpected.
Where we are
Mixtons has the largest events presence of any cocktail brand in the UK, attending the likes of Boardmasters, Kendall Calling and Bournemouth 7’s, alongside being the exclusive cocktail partner for Winter Wonderland’s Ice Bar.
We’ve had tens of thousands of e-commerce orders since launching and are now focused on breaking into major retail, with 2 national launches going live in May, alongside scaling our e-commerce and on-trade accounts, recently going live at Indigo at the O2.
We have key investors including major YouTuber/Podcaster Calfreezy and his co-host Chip alongside industry leaders in multiple verticals.
We aim to create the most loved RTD brand on planet earth.
Role Summary
We are carving a new path in the cocktail industry, and our brand reflects this position. We are not “just another cocktail or RTD”. We are looking for a Marketing Manager to take the brand to new heights, not following ‘norms’ or ‘trends’, but creating our own unique world.
The objective is to use creative ideation and execution to grow the Mixtons brand as far and wide as possible. You’ll utilise multiple key social channels and strategies and be excited to be a ‘face of the brand’. The Marketing Manager role has the opportunity to play a major part in our growth.
For clarity, the role is focused around creative, content, social media, copy, partnerships and influencer. Whilst you may have input into, you are not expected to be immediately responsible for brand, paid/performance, web optimisation, design, PR, search or blog.
Key Responsibilities.
* Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a marketing strategy aligned with Mixtons goals and objectives, focusing on enhancing brand presence and visibility.
* Creative Ideation: You’ll be encouraged to think big and generate original ideas to execute on; we actively want to stand out, go against the grain and create an ‘OR’ brand. This includes brainstorming creative campaigns and initiatives that resonate with our target audience.
* Content Creation and Curation: Create engaging and compelling content across Instagram and TikTok with a focus around video. You will be comfortable on camera and enjoy being the ‘face of the brand’. This may involve collaborating with internal teams or external partners to produce high-quality visuals, videos, and written content.
* Social Media Management: Manage all aspects of the Mixtons social media accounts, including content scheduling, community engagement, and performance analysis. Ensure consistency and constant testing/iterating to improve quality.
* Campaign Execution: Lead the implementation of one-off marketing campaigns from concept to completion, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with brand messaging. Coordinate cross-functionally to deliver campaigns on time and within budget.
* Event Content + Data: Create pre-event buzz for our core event seasons. Attend major key events and ensure that we are capturing original owned content alongside consumer data effectively to be used post show.
* Performance Analysis and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to marketing initiatives and campaigns, analyse data to derive insights and use findings to optimise future strategies and tactics.
* Partnership and Influencer Management: Identify and cultivate relationships with strategic partners, influencers, and brand ambassadors to amplify brand reach and credibility. Negotiate partnerships and manage collaborations to ensure mutual benefit.
* Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with other departments, including sales, product development, and operations, to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives. Foster a cohesive team environment and share insights to drive collective success.
* Live and Breath It: Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in marketing to stay ahead of the competition. Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement.
* Leadership and Mentorship: Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering their growth and development within the company. Encourage a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
Who we’re looking for..
The perfect candidate will be creative, hungry, consistent and organised. You would be constantly pushing themselves creatively and holistically to gain a deeper understanding of how to grow the brand. Not afraid to challenge the status quo, our ideal candidate will be curious to look outside of what is ‘standard’. You will be an excellent communicator and storyteller, and be able to very easily articulate both verbally and visually.
You will have worked previously in marketing for either a F&B brand, or marketing agency supporting F&B brands, preferably at a start up or early stage.
Our Values
We’ve defined our values and live by them. They aren’t just words on a page, but a set of attitudes, behaviours and skills that we value over anything. We embrace a diverse set of personalities but expect the whole team to be on the same page.
Be you.
Be authentic when everyone’s watching and deal in integrity. Be honest with yourself and others, speak your truth and accept it from others.
Own it.
Don’t find problems, find solutions. It’s ok to make mistakes but it’s not ok to not learn from them. Take full accountability, make it your own and be proud of striving for the best, be it taste, systems or visuals.
Believe in yourself.
Have faith in your own abilities to learn and to execute. You can do anything if you really want to. Confidence is contagious.
Make moves.
Be the first off the line and use your initiative. Focus & prioritise. The more proactive you are, the faster we all go.
Expect more.
Seek discomfort. Assume nothing and don’t compromise on what’s important. Don’t just accept what you’re told; Push yourself, and push others to keep their promises. Inspire a mindset of meaningful growth.
