About Us We are currently recruiting for a Senior Charter Broker (Cargo) to join our newly opened UK office, on a full-time basis.
Le Bas International was founded in 1990 and has more than 34 years of experience as one of the leading passenger & cargo air charter providers globally.
Our focus is on providing a personalized, 24-hour global service for a range of clients including Freight Forwarders, Oil & Gas, Humanitarian, Music/Entertainment Artists & Crew, HNWI’s, Government Heads, Militaries, Automotive companies and many others.
Our main focus is providing the best service possible and building long-term relationships with our clients.
With offices in Huntington Beach, LA, California (HQ); Shannon (Ireland) & London Gatwick (UK), and with new openings planned, we are searching for an individual who has minimum of 3 years’ experience as a charter broker and wants to further their career with a well-established company and team.
Duties · Generate and manage a pipeline of qualified sales prospects, by targeting existing and potential clients through cold/warm calls, networking, in-person visits (UK & International travel as required), emails, LinkedIn etc.
1. · Keep an accurate and tidy CRM record of all clients, ensuring their contact details are up to date.
2. · Identify new potential areas for business development.
3. · Initiate and maintain business relationships with existing & prospective customers, airline & other third party suppliers, focusing on building long-term & meaningful relationships.
4. · Oversee Air Cargo (Charter, Airfreight, Onboard Courier) quotes by identifying and understanding the needs of the customer to recommend the most appropriate Air Cargo solution/s.
5. · Manage charter, airfreight and onboard courier bookings from enquiry to completion & setting up all pre-flight arrangements in a timely and accurate manner with handling agents etc.
Ensure all Le Bas contracts, invoices and trip sheets are sent to the client and uploaded into our CRM in a timely manner.
6. · Review the required airline documentation (contracts, insurance, AOC, ensuring Le Bas’ risk is mitigated and all essential contractual clauses are covered (training will be provided).
7. · Monitor all operations for arrival/departure and any information updates for immediate communication to customers.
Troubleshoot and solve problems on flights.
Handle post-flight closeouts.
8. · Confirm to standard operating procedures for sales as established by the company, including sales calls.
9. · Be willing & flexible to travel on company business globally (meetings, networking events, flight representation etc).
10. · Perform other work tasks, special projects and events allotted to you by management from time to time.
11. · Assist with training junior brokers, passing down knowledge & experience, as well as supporting colleagues with advice & guidance.
Desired characteristics / skills · 3 years of similar experience is essential.

13. · Self-motivated and happy to work with a high degree of autonomy.
14. · Calm disposition and positive outlook, particularly when working under pressure.
15. · Tenacious and willing to keep trying in challenging situations.
16. · Flexibility to change and adapt working hours and patterns if necessary, which may include weekends and evenings as necessitated by the needs of the business.
17. · Strong communication skills (written and oral), and excellent telephone manners.
18. · Team player who appreciates the value of co-operation with local and international teams.
Good Integration / interaction with other team members is essential.
19. · Adapts and responds well to feedback and change.
20. · Second language is desirable, but not essential.
21. · Right to work in the UK.
