We are recruiting for a number Learning Assistants to join our Disability Services provision.
Our Learning Assistants are an important part of our High Needs and Learning Department, providing non-teaching support to students with disabilities, learning difficulties, medical needs and mental health issues to help them succeed in their course. This includes support in the classroom but also on visits and residentials.
The Learning Assistant role offers a fantastic entry into a career in Education.
We have a number of contracts ranging from hours per week to 30 hours per week, please indicate a preference at interview. All contracts are term-time, working 38 weeks per year.
Responsibilities include:
1. Providing non-teaching support for students with special educational needs.
2. Following professional guidance provided through EHC Plans and Learning Support Agreements.
3. Providing verbal and written feedback on learner progress and accessibility issues to teaching staff.
4. Assisting in the preparation of teaching aids and materials.
