Are you an experienced People Manager looking to bring your skills to a creative and close-knit team?
With an appreciation of the creative industry and a solid knowledge of HR processes, compliance, and administration, you'll lead on all aspects of people; from recruitment and onboarding to performance management, employee relations, and training. You'll oversee hiring and offboarding, support managers through reviews, and act as a trusted point of contact for employee concerns.
You'll facilitate annual pay reviews and keep our rewards strategy competitive and transparent. You'll help build a culture of growth by encouraging coaching conversations and supporting team members in their development.
Working closely with the Managing Director and Founders, you'll ensure our people processes are aligned with our plans for growth. This is the ideal role for someone who combines emotional intelligence with operational rigour.
The is a part time, in office role and salary will be pro-rated based on 3 days per week.
Your Role:
Recruitment
* Oversee the hiring process, including ensuring hiring forms are filled out, job postings, interviews, and onboarding.
* Conducting exit interviews and offboarding.
Performance Management
* Implement the performance systems annually and ensure all employees have a review.
* Support managers in the process.
Compensation and benefits
* Facilitate the pay and rewards review with the board.
* Research and stay up to date on market rate for salaries and benefits.
* Communicate annual pay and rewards updates to individuals.
Employee Relations
* Act as a point of contact for employee concerns
* Address grievances, disciplinary issues and conflicts
Training
* Organize employee training programs and workshops.
* Support career development and succession planning.
* Foster continuous learning within the organization
HR Administration
* Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation.
You'll have access to support from our external HR advisory service, which provides expert guidance on employment law and complex people issues.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally within a small to mid-sized creative business
* Sound understanding of HR processes, compliance, and UK employment law
* Confident managing recruitment, onboarding, performance reviews, and offboarding
* Skilled at handling employee relations with discretion, empathy, and clarity
* Comfortable facilitating pay reviews and staying up to date with market trends
* Experience supporting or encouraging development conversations and team growth
* Highly organised, with strong attention to detail in HR admin and documentation
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of the business
* A hands-on, proactive approach with a genuine interest in people and culture
* Experience in the creative industries is preferable
