Role: Manufacturing Engineer – Industry: Precision Engineering – Location: Ilkeston – Salary: Up to £52,000 DOE – Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am‑4:30pm and Friday 7:30am‑2:00pm – Contracted hours: 40 per week – Holidays and Benefits: 33 days holiday, Xmas shut‑down, 7.5% pension, four times salary death in service.
Overview
We now require an additional Manufacturing Engineer to join the team, working in modern, purpose‑built manufacturing facilities for a company that manufactures precision‑engineered components. The role involves managing projects for customers from start to finish, ensuring delivery on time and within budget while working in a first‑class precision engineering environment that includes machining, fabrication and outsourced processes.
Responsibilities
* Managing customer projects from start to finish, ensuring on‑time and within‑budget delivery.
* Creating manufacturing route cards and performing offline programming.
* Liaising with internal departments and managing external resources as required.
* Reading manufacturing drawings and specifications and determining detailed processes for each operation.
* Working independently, using initiative and maintaining a methodical, detail‑oriented approach.
Qualifications
* Qualified to HNC level (desirable).
* Knowledge of precision engineering processes – CNC machining, manual machining, metal fabrication techniques.
* Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
* Competence in Office (Excel, Word, Project).
* Good working knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
* Ability to read manufacturing drawings and specifications.
* Capability to work unsupervised and with own initiative.
* Good eye for detail with a methodical approach.
* Must be a British National due to the nature and security level of the projects.

Commute from: Ilkeston, Alfreton, Chesterfield, Derby, Nottingham and surrounding areas.
