Overview
We are looking for a creative, forward thinking and motivated Systemic Family Therapist to join our friendly and professional multi-disciplinary Emotional & Behavioural CAMHS Team based in Dunstable, within the South Bedfordshire Specialist CAMHS Service. The team is inclusive and considers varying contexts (racial, cultural and socio-economic factors). The post supports flexible working arrangements where possible.
Responsibilities
* Provide assessment and therapeutic treatment to young people with moderate to severe mental health difficulties and their families/carers, including generic CAMHS assessments as needed.
* Join the team’s existing systemic psychotherapist and co-facilitate family therapy clinics and groups (e.g., NVR and parent sessions); may work alongside therapists from other local CAMHS teams.
* Involve parent/carers, schools and other agencies as required.
* Offer consultations, clinical supervision, and internal CPD.
* Demonstrate a high degree of professional autonomy, organisation, and self-management, with ability to work well in a team.
* Receive regular specialist clinical and management supervision, access to internal CPD sessions, and participate in annual performance appraisals.
* Participate in weekly clinical discussions, monthly complex case discussions, and a monthly reflective space; opportunities to attend discipline-specific meetings within Bedfordshire CAMHS and ELFT.

This post is based near the M1, accessible by car from North London, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire. Free parking is available. Most work will be at the clinic with some remote working; access to a car is helpful. The Trust offers a 50% discount on season tickets with Thameslink. A generous relocation package is available if needed.
