Credit Controller Position - Catterick
I am working closely with an established Catterick-based business that requires a Credit Controller to join their team.
Prior experience in Credit Control is preferable, but we will consider candidates interested in starting a career in finance who have the desire and drive to learn and progress within the department. You should be proactive, possess problem-solving skills, good communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
You will need good attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage and organise a varied and demanding workload. You will be a key member of the accounts department, responsible for ensuring the Sales Ledger functions efficiently and smoothly.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1. Manage an efficient credit control service by creating and maintaining robust payment procedures and effective communication.
2. Accurately post and allocate customer receipts to accounts, investigate and resolve invoice or payment discrepancies effectively.
3. Ensure all monies owed to the company are collected and processed accurately and promptly, proactively chasing overdue invoices via telephone and email.
4. Perform credit checks and credit limit reviews for new and existing customers.
5. Handle weekly invoice declarations to the bank.
6. Oversee and manage credit insurance limits and communicate with the insurer.
7. Support the finance team as required.
