Job description:
Our client based on Bowling Back Lane in Bradford, is seeking a number of dedicated and hardworking individuals to join their team as Recycling Workers/banksmen & machine Operatives, at their recycling centre. In this role, you will play a vital part in the recycling process, ensuring that materials are sorted, processed, and prepared for reuse. This position requires physical stamina and a commitment to environmental sustainability.
Duties
Sort and separate recyclable materials from waste streams efficiently.
Operate machinery and equipment used in the recycling process, ensuring safe and effective use.
Perform heavy lifting of recyclable materials as required, adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Assist in the loading and unloading of materials from lorries or containers.
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify any mechanical issues or maintenance needs.
Requirements
Ability to perform heavy lifting regularly, as the role involves handling bulky items.
Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for operating and troubleshooting machinery effectively.
Strong attention to detail to ensure proper sorting of materials.
A commitment to safety practices within a fast-paced environment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Previous experience in a recycling or waste management role is beneficial but not essential.
We are looking for experienced recycling operatives, who can evidence a minimum of 1 years experience within the recycling or Waste management industry.
This is a full time position Monday - Friday, 7am - 5.00pm, with optional overtime on a Saturday.
Depending upon experience the salary will be £13 - 15 per hour, based upon a 40 hour working week.
PPE in way of gloves, hats, jackets will be provided, but you must own your own safety footwear.
