Ysgol Cambrian is a brand new 3–19 Additional Learning Needs (ALN) school opening in September 2026 in Clydach Vale. We are seeking to appoint multiple Teaching Assistants to join our founding staff team and play a vital role in shaping an inclusive, nurturing and aspirational learning environment from the very beginning.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly established school designed to meet the diverse needs of learners with a wide range of additional learning needs, supporting them to achieve their full potential academically, socially and emotionally.
About the role
As a Teaching Assistant at Ysgol Cambrian, you will:
1. Support pupils with a range of ALN across the 3–19 age range
2. Work closely with teachers and specialist staff to deliver personalised learning programmes
3. Support communication, independence, wellbeing and positive behaviour
4. Contribute to a safe, caring and inclusive learning environment
5. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families

6. Have a passion for working with children or young people with ALN
7. Are caring, patient, resilient and committed to inclusion
8. Can work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
9. Are willing to undertake training to meet the needs of learners
