Dispatch Operative
The purpose of the role will be to provide a well organised service for incoming goods, storage and dispatch, encompassing speed, accuracy and security.
Key Responsibilities
Offloading of incoming goods and checking of these goods against delivery dockets and Hill Engineering Specification (basic quality and specification checks to be carried out) to ensure order requirements are met in terms of quantity, quality and specification.
* Packing and Loading of Finished Goods as per Company procedures
* Inform Purchasing Department of any discrepancies in Quantity, Specification, and Quality.
* Allocation of Storage space and transfer on incoming goods to Stores
* Operation of heat gun and barcode scanner
* Wrapping and strapping of pallets
* Carry out periodic Stock Takes and Cycle Counts as required, and carry out follow up checks and/or recounts as required
* Carry out collections and deliveries in Company Vehicle as required
* Work closely with the Purchasing Department to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained
* Assist with any queries from other Departments
* In conjunction with the Quality Manager ensure all Health & Safety systems and standards relevant to your department/function are adhered to and drive commitment to a safe working environment with a high standard of general housekeeping
* Any other duties, within reason and capability, as determined by the Purchasing Manager and Managing Director.
* Forklift licence desirable
